Contribution to the Augment Martyrs Trust Fund
Eritrean nationals inside the country and abroad have contributed approximately 14,000 Euros, 3,000,660 dollars and 36,000 Nakfa to increase the Martyrs’ Trust Fund and to support the families of the martyrs and the Association of Disabled Eritrean War Veterans.
According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, 26 nationals of the Netherlands donated 5,220 euros and 700 dollars to support 14 families of martyrs, “20 June Martyrs Association” in Aschaffenburg, Germany, 2,000,800 euros to support 4 families of martyrs, a national of Malawi 1,000,420 euros in favor of 2 families of martyrs, members of the National Union of Eritrean Women in Giessen 1,000,420 euros in favor of 2 families of martyrs and the cultural group “Handay” in Giessen contributed 1 thousand 420 in support of 2 families of martyrs.
A national from Asmara who wishes to remain anonymous donated 36,000 Nakfa in favor of 3 families of martyrs and a national from Switzerland donated 300 euros in additional support to 2 families of martyrs whom he previously had the responsibility of supporting.
In a similar vein, the Eritrean Community in Kansas, USA, and the Orthodox Tewahdo Church in Mannheim, Germany, contributed $1,100 and €300, respectively, to augment the National Trust Fund.
Similarly, Eritrean women in Viernheim, Germany donated 2,500 Euros to support the National Association of Disabled Eritrean War Veterans.
