The nations of China, India and the Russian Federation belong to the RIC format. Thus, the three members of the RIC (Russia, India and China) expressed their concern and concern about the situation in Afghanistan.
The crisis in Afghanistan was mentioned by the three members of the RIC format. Thus Sergey Lavrov (Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation), Subrahmanyam Jaishankar (Minister of Foreign Affairs of India) and Wang Yi (Minister of Foreign Affairs of China) all listened to the respective concerns of each nation.
Lavrov, referring to larger areas outside of Afghanistan, said: âThe RIC format remains one of the key factors of global and regional politics, recognized for ensuring security, improving the architecture of transnational relations in the Asia-Pacific region as well as promoting broad economic integration in the Eurasian space. The development of our âtroikaâ is an integral part of the process of shaping a more just and democratic multipolar world order with the coordination of the United Nations. In addition, it helps establish universal values ââsuch as multilateralism, equality and the rule of international law on the world stage.
The Russian Federation sees itself as an honest broker between China and India. This particularly applies to the border dispute between China and India, China’s role in Pakistan’s affairs, and other important areas of geopolitical concern. Therefore, the RIC and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization are important bridges.
Lee Jay Walker says, âAll three nations are concerned about the unfolding humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan. This concerns food insecurity, health care provision which was already limited, brain drain and other important areas. Therefore, the nations of China, India and the Russian Federation insist that humanitarian support is essential. “
A joint statement said, âExpressing concern at the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Afghanistan, ministers called for immediate and unimpeded humanitarian assistance to be provided to Afghanistan.
China, India and the Russian Federation are also concerned that the narcotics could spread to countries in the region. In addition, the money generated by drug trafficking will stimulate terrorist activities in Afghanistan and elsewhere.
The joint declaration on drugs said: âThe spread of illicit drug trafficking in opiates and methamphetamine from Afghanistan and beyond⦠poses a serious threat to regional security and stability and provides funding to terrorist organizations.
The three nations want the Taliban to address ethnic imbalances within Afghanistan’s power mechanisms, enable women to participate in all of society, protect religious minorities and other important areas. The RIC is also calling for the Taliban to comply with resolutions declared by the United Nations in the hope that this will overcome the concerns of donor countries.
